Notice of Nondiscrimination and Admission Requirements
Pike Career and STEM Center does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation) national origin, age, disability, genetic information, or any other legally protected classification in its programs, activities, or employment practices.
This notice applies to all career and technical education (CTE) opportunities, including admission to programs, access to courses, counseling services, work-based learning, student activities, and employment.

Admission Requirements:
- Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in the MSD of Pike school district and meet local guidelines for enrollment in a half-day or full-day CTE Program.
- Grade Level: Most programs are open to students in grades 10-12 (some pathways may be available to 9th graders with counselor approval).
- Prerequisites: Some classes may have prerequisites (e.g., completion of an introductory course or teacher/counselor recommendation).
- Application Process: Students apply/enroll through their counselor. Selection is based on interest, available space, and program-specific criteria.
- Special Populations: Students with IEPs, 504 plans, or other special accommodations are encouraged to apply; reasonable support will be provided to ensure equitable access.
- Over-capacity programs - In cases where a program exceeds its enrollment capacity, a designated committee composed of diverse staff members will review the following criteria to determine student eligibility for admission:
- Academic performance (GPA)
- Attendance record (counts double)
- Discipline history
- Teacher/student interview (for program involving community partner placements)
- For programs requiring clinical or WBL hours, students MUST NOT have referrals for violent or drug related offenses.
