Radio & TV Broadcasting Pathway
The Radio & TV Broadcasting pathway at the Pike Career and STEM Center provides students with a strong foundation in broadcasting, media production, and digital communications. This program is designed for students who are interested in careers in radio, television, journalism, sports broadcasting, and digital media. Students explore both the technical and creative sides of audio and video production while learning how professional broadcast studios operate.
Students gain hands-on experience with the technical aspects of audio production and sound design for radio, as well as video production and distribution for television and digital platforms. They learn industry-standard skills such as camera operation, directing, message development, video switching, character generator operation, and on-air production. The program also introduces students to audio and video production techniques used across radio, television, and digital technologies.
The Radio & TV Broadcasting pathway offers students valuable credentials and college credit opportunities, including:
- Adobe Premiere Pro Industry Certification
- Vincennes University Project EXCEL (Dual Credit)
